I feel a shiver run down my spine
I feel trapped in this darkness around me

I reach out for you, but you’re not there
I’m spinning and tumbling alone through this emptiness

Where is your soft hand in mine
Where is the warmth of your skin

I reach out to pull you close but my arms come back empty
I feel intense pressure in my head as tears race down my face

Where is the kindness and gentle embrace my heart is looking for
Where is the path through this loneliness

The night is so dark
So quiet
So alone
