Summertime is finally here,
Time to play and jump and cheer.
The sun is shining throughout the day,
Inspiring each of us to go out and play.
Mountains, beaches, picnics, and pools,
Running and playing even using yard tools.
The sluggish days of winter are gone,
Each day you awake and are singing a song.
Playing each day with family and friends,
Hoping forever those days will not end.
Staying up late and then closing your eyes,
Wondering about tomorrow’s surprise.
